We are seeking detail-oriented and proactive Student Records Administrators to join our newly formed Student Records & Data Management Team. This is a pivotal post in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of student data across the academic lifecycle.

As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service for students, academic staff, and external stakeholders—helping to shape a seamless and supportive student journey.

Key responsibilities:

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records in line with university policies and regulatory requirements.
Supporting student lifecycle activities such as enrolment and data returns (e.g. HESA/Data Futures).
Providing clear advice and guidance on student records processes to students and staff.
Producing reports and maintaining electronic student files.
Ensuring data quality and confidentiality standards are consistently met.
Collaborating with colleagues across teams to deliver administrative activities to agreed deadlines ensuring the highest quality student experience.

About You

You’ll bring a proactive and collaborative approach to your work, with a focus on delivering excellent service to students and staff. Your ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy, and communicate clearly will be key to your success in this post. We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Proven organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage workloads in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication skills and a student-focused approach
Experience working with student records systems or similar databases
A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement

Essential Qualifications

GCSE or equivalent vocational qualification (e.g. NVQ 3 or equivalent)

Department

The post is located within Academic Registry. Academic Registry is central to the delivery of the University’s strategy. What we do matters to staff throughout the University, to students and their experience at every stage of their higher education journey and to a range of external stakeholders. It is therefore essential that we provide reliable, trusted, expert, consistent, transparent and efficient services.

Academic Registry includes a number of teams supporting student administration. These include Admissions, Academic Quality, Student Records & Data Management, Assessment, Ceremonies and Exams, and Student Casework. Academic Registry works closely with all Faculties and professional services teams across the University.
