Summary
To undertake regular outpatient activities (usually 1-2 clinics/week) in general cardiology and in clinics related to the investigation or treatment of coronary artery disease There is a full shift resident on call for the above inpatient services at Barts Heart Centre and the Heart Attack Service. This rota includes out of hours work and weekend work. The rota is compliant with the European Working Time Directive. The posts would be suitable for medical trainees who wish to gain further experience in interventional cardiology. Previous experience in cardiology and in particular of interventional cardiology would be desirable. MCRP (or equivalent) is essential. The post can provide specialised training in interventional techniques for the appropriate candidate; international fellows are encouraged to apply who are looking for interventional fellowships prior to consultancy MRCP or equivalent will be required as is full GMC registration with a license to practice. Appropriate international candidates with previous cardiology experience and requiring international fellowships before consultancy are encouraged to apply.
