Summary

Qualifications, Professional Knowledge and Understanding

* Good numeracy, literacy and organisational skills

* Good communications skills – oral and written

* Knowledge of the development of the whole child

* Willingness to undertake CPD and learn from others

Experience

* Experience of working with children from 3-7

* Experience of working in the Early Years

* Experience of working with children who have English as an additional language

* Knowledge of SEND

* Use of behaviour management strategies

Key Skills and Competencies

* Can use ICT effectively to support learning – Evidence me, IWB, IPads

* Working knowledge of national / foundation stage curriculum

* Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities

As a teaching assistant, you will be passionate about ensuring the best outcomes for children and giving them every opportunity to succeed, whatever their barriers may be.
