Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to support teaching and learning at The Cedars Academy in Leicester. This role is varied, and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities. Working with the pastoral, attendance and school administration team to deliver services to the school community, plus arranging cover for absent teachers. The role will require you to start at 7am. This role covers three strands - cover, attendance and pastoral, please see the attached job description for a detailed overview of the role.Cover: To organise all cover both pre-arranged and immediate.


Attendance: To work with the Inclusion Team and the attendance team to specifically reduce the number of persistently absent pupils (90% attendance and below). To collate all information on detentions and allocate times and date for detentions and to liaise with teaching staff and tutors, to chase and monitor pupils attendance of detentions and on-call. To coordinate PM registration and work with teachers to ensure that they are accurate and complete.Pastoral: To offer general admin and clerical support for the inclusion team e.g. subject access requests, redacting of documents, preparation of exclusion packs. To support the Inclusion Team with the administration of CPOMS.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above
Previous administration or childcare experience
A proven ability to work on their own initiative
A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults
The ability to use relevant technology/equipment
A can-do attitude.
A commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school
