What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting the Year 6 class teacher with lesson delivery and preparation
• Providing academic interventions in Maths and English to boost SATs performance
• Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils needing additional support
• Assisting with revision sessions and test preparation
• Encouraging pupil focus, independence and resilience
• Supporting pupils pastorally during the transition to secondary school
Ideal Year 6 Teaching Assistant Profile:
• Graduate with a 2:1 or higher (preferred)
• Passionate about upper KS2 learning and pupil progress
• Strong academic background, ideally with confidence in Maths and English
• Proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic in the classroom
• Experience working with children (voluntary or paid) is a bonus
• Considering a future career in teaching, education or child psychology
