Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen within our pioneering and award-winning First Response Service (FRS) for a Practice Educator to join our dynamic team.

Based in Huntingdon, the FRS provides 24-hour access to mental health services for individuals of all ages experiencing a mental health crisis. We are proud to offer rapid, compassionate, and effective support across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Social Worker who is passionate about education, development, and clinical excellence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and is committed to improving mental health care delivery.
• Support the development and advancement of clinical and nursing practice across:• First Response Service (FRS)
• Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT)
• Mental Health Joint Response Car (MHJRC)
• Work closely with clinical leadership and management team members.
• Provide mentorship, supervision, and training to staff and students
• Promote evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
• Be a visible and accessible point of contact, supporting staff induction and competency development.
• Identify learning needs and implement initiatives to enhance patient safety, experience, and staff wellbeing.
• Lead and develop our call auditing programme to support continuous improvement.
• Promote a culture of reflective practice.

To work closely with, the clinical leadership team, operational management and clinical leads as a senior role model.

To lead in the development and advancement of clinical and nursing practice across FRS, the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) and the Mental Health Joint Response Car (MHJRC).

To lead on developing practice standards to ensure evidenced based practice is driving effective clinical productivity and quality outcomes for patient care.

To provide advice and practice guidance, and the development of professional practice, having overall responsibility for planning implementing and monitoring education and training for staff.

To work closely with clinical leads and the team leaders in developing plans for individual performance and improvement.

To be a clinical expert and provide a patient focus for improving the patient experience.

The post holder will be accountable for working across FRS, IMHT and the MHJRC providing professional guidance: effective and strong leadership: advice and supervision.

In conjunction with the leadership team the post holder will hold to account all professionally qualified nurses for ensuring that professional standards are maintained and the delivery of nursing care is recovery focused, patient centred and to the highest quality.
