Waste Management - Shaping a Greener, More Sustainable Future

We provide waste and recycling services for all 236,000 households across Wiltshire, collecting waste and recycling, and we manage a network of 10 household recycling centres. We work hard to keep as much waste out of landfill as possible by maximising opportunities for recycling and reuse or recovering energy from waste that can’t be recycled, whilst making a significant contribution to reducing carbon emissions

As a Waste Project Officer, you will work closely with the Waste Strategy and Projects Lead to offer essential project support to the Waste Transformation Programme.

You will be responsible for conducting research, developing project documentation and delivering operational and strategic projects. In addition to leading specific projects, you will be analysing data to inform the drafting of briefing notes and providing recommendations across a range of projects to a number of stakeholders.

We are looking for individuals with proven technical research and project management skills, able to ensure that planned outcomes are achieved, as well as monitoring and reporting progress throughout.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for communicating outputs and recommendations in the form of briefing notes or business cases, to a range of audiences will be essential. You will have an outstanding attention to detail, be comfortable leading projects and will take a proactive approach to developing initiatives, ensuring successful programme delivery.
