The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for sport who is looking to use their skills and experience to support the administration and delivery of our 34 Team UoP student sports clubs and physical activity programmes. The post holder will work closely with the student sports volunteers to provide support, and communicate regularly with the students to balance the needs of the students with the wider team and University requirements. The role will be required to help the sports clubs review and improve their sporting offer in line with their club delivery plans.



As a Sports Administrator, you will be responsible for working with the Sports Development team to provide administration and delivery support to student sports clubs in a wide range of areas such as competitions, fixtures, transport, affiliations, events, memberships, training, bookings, payments, and student volunteer recruitment and training.



We are seeking applications from individuals who have knowledge and understanding of student sport, sports administration experience, and experience of working with and supporting sports volunteers. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate well to students and staff.



This is a full-time role based at our new outstanding £57M Ravelin Sports Centre. The sports centre’s facilities include a 25m 8 lane swimming pool, 175 station fitness suites, climbing wall, ski simulator, café and community orchard set in historic parkland.



To support the delivery of University/Departmental events, activities and functions the post holder is expected to work flexibly to provide services to a range of customers. As a maximum the post holder may be needed to work 1-3 weekday evenings and 1 weekend day per month, as well as specific peak times per service.



Flexible and fractional working (a minimum of 30 hours per week) will be considered and can be discussed at interview. This is a student facing role but some hybrid working may be available.
