Summary

We are seeking aLegal Services Administrator and Claims Support Officerto join our dedicated team. As a key member of the Legal Services Team, you will contribute to the effective and efficient management of claims and the provision of general legal advice across the Trust. You will play a vital role in supporting the team by ensuring all claims are accurately logged on the Claims Module within the Trust’s Datix system and by maintaining and updating the Legal Services Claims Database. Your work will be essential to ensuring the team delivers timely and high-quality legal services.

You will be responsible for the accurate recording and management of data within the Datix system, carrying out quality checks of claims records and making updates as required. In addition, you will support the team in the preparation of reports and responses to data requests related to claims activity. You will also administer the secure retention and destruction of claims records in line with Trust policies and legal requirements.

Delivering a confidential and high-quality administrative service will be at the heart of your role. You will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, show initiative, and uphold a consistently high standard of professionalism, even under pressure. Your ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and accurately will be crucial to the success of the Legal Services Team.

• Robust bring-forward system to enable timely response.
• Identify problems and bring them to the attention of your line manager.
• Manage the electronic diary for Head of Legal Services and Claims Officer arranging, confirming and changing appointments, prioritising as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain effective electronic and paper filing systems, to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to the team as required.
• Arrange and coordinate meetings with clinicians and external panel solicitors.
• Assist with preparation of reports and training presentation
• Post holder must have a standard level of keyboard skills and able to use Microsoft Office programmes.
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to their work in order to meet various deadlines.
• Supply the relevant information for monthly reporting- Governance dashboard
