Summary
Job description
This role will focus on developing the modelling tools to deliver the engineering for powertrain systems with a specific focus on the development of the MATLAB/Simulink-based tool “CalSim” that has been in continuous development & refinement since 2001 and other tools that would support System analysis.
Skills:
Essential:
Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred Strong affinity with software development techniques
Proven success in use of programming languages for the purposes of analysis automation, data processing, etc.
Proven success in complex system model development, validation and correlation
Experience with object-oriented programming, preferably in Matlab
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
A strong working knowledge of conventional and electrified powertrain architectures and operating characteristics
Experience with version control systems such as SVN or Git
Desirable:
CAE experience in Matlab/Simulink
Able to identify and respond to the strengths and limitations of computer-based modelling and simulation
Experience of Powertrain physical test and/or calibration
Proven P/T system analysis & optimisation experience
Ability to develop highly effective cross-departmental relationships
