This is a full-time role and is offered on a Maternity Cover basis.
Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.
As the Head of Adult Education Projects, you will oversee the team who work with our Adult learners to provide them with opportunities to acquire new skills, enhance their employability, build confidence, and open exciting new doors for personal and professional growth.
As our Adult Education projects take place across Weston-super-Mare and beyond, a driving licence and access to your own transport will be essential for this role.
Day to day duties of the role
- To design and develop a wide curriculum that meets the needs of learners, supports growth, and enables them to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours they need to progress into meaningful sustained destinations.
- To effectively lead, manage and develop the implementation of curriculum that creates an outstanding learner experience.
- To lead, motivate and develop a team of staff and support their career journeys while championing a cycle of continuous improvement.
- To proactively review and adapt the curriculum offer to reflect the requirements of external stakeholders, meeting the skills agenda.
Required skills and qualifications
- Evidence of working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to meet the needs of learners.
- Experience in working effectively with employers/partners to develop current and new provisions.
- Level 4 Teaching Qualification.
- A breadth of knowledge, understanding and professional experience of the area.
