Summary
Total Social are working with Bristol City Council who are looking for an experienced locum Adult's Social Worker for their Adults Community Team.
• Conduct Care Act assessments, carer assessments, reviews, and support planning for adults with care and support needs
• Lead Section 42 safeguarding enquiries and undertake Mental Capacity Act assessments
• Manage an autonomous caseload (typically 16–20 people), prioritising urgent visits and risk planning
• Empower individuals with a strengths-based, person-centred approach, promoting choice and control
• Work collaboratively with health, housing, voluntary teams, and multi-disciplinary colleagues
• Adhere to internal key performance indicators, maintain accurate case records in a timely manner and statutory reporting in line with legal and organisational standards
• Participate in duty rota, multi-agency meetings and mental health discharge -meetings
