Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision

Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term with potential for permanent placement
Hours: 37 hours per week
Daily Rate: £95-£105

Are you a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant seeking a meaningful role in a specialist education environment? Long Term Futures is working in partnership with a tailored provision that supports small groups (2-7 pupils) of primary-aged children who have been excluded from mainstream education. This diverse role combines academic support, behavioural mentoring, and pastoral responsibilities.
Your Role Will Include:

Supporting children with complex behavioural, emotional, and social needs

Assisting in classroom learning to boost pupil engagement and academic development

Leading 1:1 or small group interventions and occasionally covering for absent staff

Supervising during break and lunch times, as well as conducting home visits and wellbeing checks

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience supporting challenging or disengaged primary-aged pupils in either mainstream or alternative settings

Possesses strong behaviour management abilities and a creative approach to problem-solving

Is adaptable, resilient, and maintains high expectations-with a good sense of humour!

Is willing to support broader site duties and travel between sites when needed (mileage reimbursed)
