Summary


EastBerkshire Community Dietetic Service based inWindsorhas an opportunity to offer a permanent Band5Clinical Dietitianrole.


The post holder will be covering a variedand diversecommunity caseload, including outpatient clinics,community inpatient wards,paediatrictriage,patientsrequiringnutritional supportor enteral nutritionin nursing homes and their own homes and diabetes education. An interest in developing skills in specialist dieteticareas/treatmentssuch aspaediatrics,HENand FODMAPswould be an advantageto applicants looking for progression toband 6roles.


We are a mobile working service andoffer our patients the choice of face-to-face, virtual and phone appointmentsas well as home visits.To support this, wehave excellent IT access and support staff home-working whereappropriate.

We will support you to develop your ideas for research and audit and offer collaboration and training with our Research & Development and Clinical Effectiveness teams. We also engage in student training andfacilitateteaching opportunities.



We are looking for enthusiastic, skilledand committed dietitians to join this forward-thinking team.

• Working under the guidance of the Team Lead Dietitian, to provide dietetic care to a varied and diverse caseload of patients in the community as outlined above.

• Travelling to and providing care at various sites including but not limited to community hospitals, patients’ homes, nursing homes, GP practices and some home working.

• Delivering a proportion of care using online platforms e.g.OneConsultation,MS Teamsand Webex

• Delivering diabetes education groups

• Supporting our student training programme

• MentoringDietetic Assistant Practitioners (DAPs)

• Involvement in departmental research activityandquality improvement project work

• Contribute to service improvement conversations in dedicated meetings

The “must haves” for this role: 

1. Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics

1. Registered with Health Care Professionals Council and full BDA membership

1. Experience of working in acute/community setting as a dietitian or dieteticlearner/student.

1. Ability to prioritise workload and work flexibly-travelling to multiple sitesis oftenrequired

1. Ability to work from homeat timewith access toWiFiusing equipment provided by BHFT
