Summary
Receptionist/Administrator - Band 3
Days: 4 days to be agreed between Monday - Friday
Hours: 4 hours per day 0830–1230 or 0900-1300, 4 days per week. 16 hours per week.
This is an opportunity to join an enthusiastic and skilled workforce with a great team spirit. Berkshire Community Dental Service has 7 clinics ranging from Newbury to Langley and over 40 members of staff. The service treats patients with additional needs including children, people with learning and physical disabilities and the elderly.
• You willact as first point of contact with the department byreceiving patientsand visitors to the dental clinic
• You willprovide administrative support tothe clinicincludinganswering the phone, responding to messages,scheduling of appointments, typing correspondence, compiling and distribution of standard letters.
• You willdeal with all enquires by telephone in a calm, sympathetic/empathic way,assistpatients in an understanding manner especially where there are barriers to understanding e.g. language, poor hearing or if the caller is distressed or aggressive.
• You willbe proficient in the useof MicrosoftOffice softwareand will be expected to use the electronic patientdental software.
