About the Role
HSDC is seeking a proactive and strategic Talent and Inclusion Business Partner to join our People Services team on a 1-year maternity cover basis.

In this impactful role, you’ll lead on inclusive recruitment strategies, particularly for hard-to-fill roles, while building talent pipelines, enhancing staff retention, and promoting HSDC as an employer of choice. Working closely with managers and external partners, you’ll drive innovation in recruitment, support development opportunities, and champion equity, diversity, and inclusion across the College.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
• Co-ordinate and manage the recruitment and selection processes; including sourcing candidates for hard to recruit to roles, working closely with the People Services Business Partners and managers to understand vacancies and to provide solutions to minimise agency use and to enable the recruitment of high-quality candidates
• Building strong relationships with external networks and local organisations, such as Universities, to reach graduates and diverse local talent pools. Arranging and attending recruitment events and representing HSDC as an employer of choice.
• Trialling innovative recruitment strategies for both internal and external recruitment including the use of social media and specialist recruitment options
• Leading complete recruitment campaigns for new opportunities, developing an understanding of funding streams and developing excitement around the roles such as taster days, a day in the life projects or open events
• Analysis of recruitment data to identify any patterns or trends, monitoring and reporting of agency spend
• Ensuring legal right to work compliance, taking the lead in ensuring that all templates are up to date, being aware of legislation changes and ensuring practices support compliance and best practice.

Requirements
You will need:
• Recent experience of recruiting to hard to fill vacancies
• Recent experience of working within an HR function
• Good knowledge of recruitment and selection best practice and legislation
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with colleagues and external contacts at all levels and build effective relationships.
• Level 5 CIPD Qualification or working towards
• Ability to deliver consistently professional, high-quality work and produce data to show quality
