Location: Units 3 - 4, Whitemyres Avenue

Duration: Permanent, Full Time

This post is based in the Telecare Service which provides technology solutions to enable people to live independently at home. You will assess users for equipment within their home environment and be installing / reviewing / assessing for bespoke solutions, along with holding awareness sessions on the equipment with various staff groups. Must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

SVQ level 3 or equivalent or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through proven relevant experience for the role applied for

Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

The post holder is expected to demonstrate:

The ability to communicate effectively and work in partnership with service users, staff, carers, families and internal/external professionals to achieve improved outcomes for service users

An ability to work as part of a team and provide guidance and support to other
members of staff

The ability to work proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same time recognising when matters need to be referred to a more senior manager

The ability to move and handle objects in a safe manner

The ability to organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

The ability to use IT equipment and computer packages including stock control systems, databases and hand held technology

The ability to assess risk whilst delivering a service to meet the service users
needs

The ability to undertake installation work, repairs and DIY tasks

An ability to carry out day to day maintenance and ensure cleanliness of vehicle, equipment and tools.

The ability to provide training and guidance to members of the public, other members of staff and health care professionals on the use of equipment

The ability to maintain accurate records of work activities undertaken and equipment using the organisations recording processes

Ability to comply with all elements of Health and Safety with relation to equipment, tools and PPE
