Are you a motivated, experienced professional with a passion for safety and quality? We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our Environment Team as a Playground Inspector. If you enjoy working outdoors, ensuring play areas are safe and well maintained, and thrive in a hands-on-role, we would love to hear from you!

As a Playground Inspector, you will lead on maintenance inspections of the Borough’s 37 play areas. Your expertise will help us to provide safe, fun and accessible play spaces for residents and visitors. You’ll work independently, conducting regular inspections, handling minor repairs and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

The role is primarily based at our Kimberley Depot, although you will be expected to travel across the Borough (a van will be provided).

We’re looking for an individual who has experience in:
• Playground maintenance, inspections, or a similar role.
• Hands on experience with small plant equipment.
• Proficiency in using power drills and other tools.
• Dealing with complaints.
The ideal candidate:
• Has relevant training or certification in playground maintenance (BTEC Level 3)
• Has a good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Can work independently, is self-motivated and proactive.
• Has strong communication skills.
• Holds a valid driving licence.
