Summary

Learning Support Assistants– Central Bristol | £90–£127.41 per day Empower young people in alternative education. An expanding network of inclusive, trauma-informed alternative provisions in central Bristol is seeking Learning Support Assistants to join their growing teams. These settings work with students aged 4–16 who have experienced disruption to their education and may be at risk of exclusion due to complex behavioural and emotional needs. With a strong focus on positive relationships, personalised learning, and restorative practice, these provisions offer a fresh start for young people in small, supportive settings. If you're passionate about helping young people re-engage with learning, this is your chance to make a real impact. The Role: Daily rate: £90 – £127.41, based on experience and role responsibilities Long-term and potentially permanent positions are available after a settling-in period Join an experienced, trauma-informed team Work 1:1 or in small staff-to-student ratios (e.g., 2:1 or 3:1) Support students with SEMH, Autism (ASC), and sensory processing differences Promote positive behaviour and resilience through relational, student-led approaches Essential Requirements: Experience supporting challenging behaviour in education, youth work, care, or similar fields Currently living in or near Bristol, with Right to Work in the UK Access to your own vehicle and business insurance An Enhanced DBS for the Child Workforce on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Strong sense of empathy, emotional resilience, and a flexible approach to working across year groups Desirable (but not essential): Team Teach (Level 2) or similar positive behaviour support training Experience in SEMH or alternative provision settings Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, or restorative approaches Why Work With ANZUK Education: Local support from one of the most experienced education teams in the region Simple booking and communication via our custom app Access to regular CPD training and webinars Friendly community events with other professionals Transparent processes, fast support, and access to guaranteed work schemes Refer a friend and earn £100 after they work 10 days or gain a permanent role! anzuk is committed to equal opportunities.
