About the Role – Graduate Unqualified Drama Teacher

We are working in partnership with a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Wembley to recruit a passionate and committed Graduate Unqualified Drama Teacher to join the Performing Arts department from September 2025.

As an Unqualified Drama Teacher, you will start by supporting lesson delivery, leading group performance tasks, and providing tailored support to students. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and gradually take on greater classroom responsibility while working towards a pathway into a salaried teacher training programme leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Key Responsibilities – Graduate Unqualified Drama Teacher.

• Support the planning and delivery of Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Lead small group workshops, improvisation tasks, and performance-based activities.
• Assist with rehearsals, school productions, and extra-curricular drama clubs.
• Help create engaging lesson resources and classroom displays.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and creative learning environment.
• Provide targeted support and feedback to students under the guidance of experienced teachers.

Candidate Profile – Graduate Unqualified Drama Teacher

• A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a closely related field.
• Strong academic background, including high-grade qualifications in English and/or Drama.
• A genuine interest in education and a desire to pursue a long-term teaching career.
• Excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to inspire young people.
• Confidence working with secondary-age students in a classroom or performance setting.
• Previous experience in mentoring, tutoring, or youth theatre is advantageous.
