Summary

As a Principal Research Officer you lead, oversee and manage the independent evaluation and benefits analysis for the Victims Transformation Programme. The Victim Transformation Programme is a long-term, high-profile programme within the CPS, which aims to improve how we communicate with victims of crime. You apply understanding of how to effectively evaluate a programme and establish a benefits management plan to identify evaluation needs and evidence gaps across the Victims Transformation Programme, whilst working with wider benefits standards in CPS and the VTP Benefits manager to establish a benefits management and realisation plan. You manage the external evaluation partner, ensuring the evaluation utilises robust methods, delivers value for money to the programme and informs the development of the programme including future requests for funding. You operate and think strategically to understand the aims of the programme and be able to identify the overarching evaluation needs within the programme, which will inform evidenced based recommendations with the ability to communicate them effectively to senior audiences with varied levels of evaluation and benefits knowledge including the Programme Board.
