We're looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and welcoming Key Stage 1 team at a vibrant primary school in Small Heath. If you're confident in supporting phonics, early literacy and classroom routines, this could be the perfect long-term role for you.

You'll be based in a Year 1 or Year 2 class, supporting whole-class learning, small group activities, and individual pupils who need an extra boost. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school that values teamwork, consistency and pupil wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher with learning activities and classroom routines
- Lead small group interventions in phonics, reading, and maths
- Help manage classroom behaviour positively and consistently
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Contribute to a warm, inclusive learning environment

What We're Looking For:
- Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (essential)
- Previous experience in a KS1 classroom
- Confident delivering phonics and early learning support
- A calm, caring and flexible approach
- Committed to providing consistent, high-quality support

Why Work with Long Term Futures?
- Long-term, stable work with the potential for a permanent role.
- No day-to-day supply - full-time consistency in one school.
- A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement.
- Trial days instead of formal interviews to ensure the right fit.
- Access to free CPD training, including Understanding Autism, Behaviour Management, and further professional development/refreshers.

Next Steps - Our 4-Step Process
- Apply - Submit your CV via the application page.
- Initial Call - Our team will discuss your experience and preferences.
- Trial Day - Experience the school before making a decision.
- Start Work - If the school is the right fit, you're ready to begin.

All applicants will need a valid DBS and two references to be considered for a trial day.
