Your Role

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and communication or emotional difficulties

  
  

• Assisting teachers in tailoring learning activities to suit individual pupil needs

  
  

• Helping students build essential skills such as self-confidence, independence, and communication

  
  

• Supporting behaviour management and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere

  
  

• Monitoring student progress and reporting to the SENCo and wider staff team

  
  Who We’re Looking For

  We are looking for a committed and empathetic graduate who:

  • Holds a 2:1 degree or above in Psychology, Education, or a related field

    
    

  • Has prior experience working with children or young people with SEN (through school, care, or voluntary roles)

    
    

  • Brings a calm, flexible, and patient approach to supporting children with diverse needs

    
    

  • Has a genuine interest in pursuing a long-term career in education, child development, or therapeutic support
