Summary

The Project Support Team within RD CoE holds a broad portfolio of high-value programmes in support of Digital, Asset Management, Infrastructure Delivery and Business Improvements. An integrator function which offers a great opportunity for self-development, working across all areas of the CoE and wider DIO to deliver key priorities with direct links to Defence level strategic priorities.

Due to the nature of the role, weekly travel across the UK will be required with at least 1 day per week at DMS Whittington.

The Single Living Accommodation (SLA) Asset Management Lead will undertake an exciting new role of embedding Asset Management practices across RD, with a focus on SLA and improving the lived experience for our customers. Acting as an integrator across DIO's Strategy and Plans Team, Facilities Management suppliers, and RD teams to drive and cohere key activities which underpin our Asset Management ambitions.

As an experienced individual in the delpoyment of digital products and a background in Facilities Management, you willl be very much in a hands-on role with a focus on delivery. This role will drive behavioural change in the approach to Infrastructure Asset Management through weekly site visits, covering the UK Built Estate and Overseas.

Change Management will be a key element of the role, developing, maintaining and deploying training packages with targeted learning outcomes and measureable benefits. Identifying, recording and managing feedback from site teams to drive iterative improvements to Asset Management related tools.

The role also offers opportunities to support across the Project Support Team in the coherence of National Infrastructure Programmes with a clear remit against Sustainability.

Working at the heart of a high-profile and diverse portfolio, the SLA Asset Management Lead will be responsible for:

Cohering Asset Management activities across all areas of Regional Delivery, maintaining alignment with DIO’s Capability Asset Management Team and Strategic Planning Function.
Championing the implementation of Asset Management practices across Regional Delivery, taking a robust approach to managing change into business areas.
Leading and developing Asset Management practices and process through engagement across Regional Teams, CoE functions and enablers.
Leading on the development of an SLA Asset Management blueprint and maintain alignment with regulations and standards.
Leading on communication and engagement activities across RD Asset Management leads, in line with DIO’s Asset Management Strategy.
Developing and maintaining strategic working relationship with DIO’s Hard FM Suppliers, Strategy & Plans Team, and Regional Delivery teams across the UK and Overseas.
Developing, maintaining and deploying training packages in support of Asset Management embedment.
Identifying improvements to Asset Management tools, through site level engagement and manage through the PST Change Process governance.
Supporting CoE Hd and Dir RD with insights relating to SLA Asset Management.

This role will have direct line management of 1 x Higher Executive Officer (HEO) post.
