Summary

KS2 Behaviour Mentor
Location: Hackney, N16
Pay: £95 - £110 per day
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, full academic year

A warm and inclusive primary school in Hackney is seeking a confident Behaviour Mentor to join their Key Stage 2 team from September. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils with social, emotional, or behavioural needs.

The school is proud of its nurturing ethos and is looking for a mentor who can work closely with pupils to boost focus, manage impulsivity, and develop positive routines for learning. You'll support children both in and out of class, helping to de-escalate incidents and build emotional resilience. Pupils may present with diagnoses such as ADHD or SEMH and require a firm but supportive approach.

You will work alongside class teachers and the SENCo to deliver targeted interventions and maintain consistency throughout the day. If you're passionate about improving outcomes for children and thrive in a structured but flexible environment, this could be a fantastic opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
- One-on-one support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Small group sessions focused on self-regulation and focus
- Behaviour tracking and progress monitoring
- Liaising with staff and parents to implement strategies
- Helping create a calm, consistent learning environment

Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting behaviour in a primary or SEN setting
- Confident in managing classroom behaviours calmly and fairly
- Understanding of ADHD, SEMH or related needs
- Resilient, consistent and able to build strong relationships
- Psychology graduates or youth mentors welcome to apply
