Location: Waltham Forest, E4 (commutable from Chingford, Walthamstow, Woodford, Leyton, Tottenham, and Enfield)
Daily Pay: £95 - £115

Long Term Futures are working in partnership with a well-regarded and inclusive secondary school in Waltham Forest, seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their supportive team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting young people in overcoming barriers to learning and promoting positive behaviour across Key Stages 3 and 4.
About the Role
- As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils who need additional guidance with managing their behaviour and emotional regulation. The successful candidate will:
- Provide one-on-one mentoring to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Deliver small group interventions focused on behaviour management and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with the school's pastoral and SEN team to support positive outcomes
- Assist with classroom management strategies and help pupils re-engage with learning
- Monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback to key staff
This full-time Behaviour Mentor role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference to pupils' academic and personal development.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a pastoral support role in a secondary school setting
- Strong behaviour management skills and an ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- A calm, patient and firm but supportive approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management are desirable
