The Barnet Group has once again opened applications for its apprenticeship scheme, offering a fantastic opportunity to gain real life work experience, new skills and qualifications whilst also being paid.



This year, the successful scheme, which has seen over 80% of apprentices stay beyond their apprenticeship within the group, has 5 exciting opportunities available in a number of teams, including PR & Comms, Asset Management, Housing, Repairs and New Builds.



Over the last 4 years we have recruited 33 apprentices,

So far out of the 33 apprentices, 25 (75%) have gained employment within The Barnet Group after completing their apprenticeship, and 3 have secured employment externally, meaning that overall, 85% have found employment and 85% have passed their apprenticeships.



Who can do an apprenticeship?



You must be over the age of 16.
Not in full time education or work.
Have GCSE grade 4 or C in English and Maths (age dependent)
Be eligible to work in the UK.
Not already hold an equivalent qualification.
Have lived in the UK for over 3 years (some exemptions apply)

We encourage unemployed residents of London Borough of Barnet to apply to our apprenticeship programme, including school leavers, care leavers, people with disabilities and people who are long term unemployed.



What apprenticeship will I achieve?



Nationally recognised qualification (Level 3) tailored to your role and sector.



How long will it take?



The full programme will last for 14 months and starts in October 2025. However, as we always encourage successful new talent, there potentially could be chances to extend some of these apprenticeships into a second-year higher qualification based on performance.



What will I earn?


You will be paid an annual salary of £19,008 and you will also receive a flexible pension and benefit allowance of 5% of your base salary.
