Summary

Our KGM division provide commercial roofing and cladding contracting services including refurbishment, new build and maintenance services to a diverse client base nationwide.

Our KGM Roofing division based in Peterborough have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team! Working on multiple projects, the majority of KGMs clients are based within a 70 mile radius of their office but there may be the occasional project based further afield as they do work nationally if required.

Main duties will include:

Leading projects from handover to completion.
Managing on site labour, ensure jobs are being dealt with in an appropriate manner, clients expectations are being met in terms of meeting key dates, quality of workmanship and safety standards.
Meeting with client representatives regularly and forging excellent relationships, assessing works complete on site and checking standard of workmanship
Communicating on a daily basis with operations director and Site Operatives, providing support, ordering materials, plant and scheduling subcontractor support to ensure projects are completed in a cost effective manner to maximise returns.
Responsibility for keeping detailed records, daily diaries, maintain H & S file, Works method statement and risk assessment production, Inductions, Permits
Understand and show an interest in the financial aspect of the works, understand allowances for activities and prelim costs, Seek opportunities, VFM, efficiencies where possible and enjoy returning a reasonable profit
Enjoy working with a team & providing an excellent service
Carry out Safety observations and Works method statement reviews, where required complete point of works method/risk assessment.
Investigate, communicate and supervise aftercare works incl leaks and remedials.

Your main responsibilities will include the running of the sites in lien with company policies and H&S CDM Procedures whilst ensuring all works are carried out to a high standard at all times.

We are looking for the following skills and aptitude:

Able to work on own initiative or with others on tasks with minimum supervision
Ability to manage workload effectively,
Ability to priorities, plan, manage jobs effectively
Able to change and adapt quickly in line with clients requirements
Ability to supervise operatives & subcontractors effectively
Understanding of safety regulations and group expectations
Excellent construction knowledge to advise clients competently,
Able to use a problem-solving approach to respond appropriately to a wide range of enquiries
Able to represent Lindum in a positive way to external contacts
