Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School are recruiting a Supervisory Assistant to complement the existing team, on a permanent from August 2025.
Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the communities of Pumpherston and Uphall Station. It is part of the Broxburn Academy School cluster. The school roll is 230 with pupils being organised into eight classes (P1-7) and a 32/32 nursery.
The senior leadership team comprises the Head Teacher, a Principal Teacher and an acting Principal Teacher. In addition to eight class teachers, there are four pupil support workers, a support for learning teacher, non-class contact teachers and a Nurture teacher. The school office is staffed by an Administrative Assistant and a Clerical Assistant.
Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School is well supported by the Parent Partners and the wider parent forum. The Parent Partners work in close partnership with the school and provides support in identifying areas for improvement. There are supportive partnerships with local community groups.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
