TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Pupil Referral Unit PRU in Brent, supporting with their recruitment for a Construction Teacher to deliver City & Guilds Level 1 Construction. The unit is a specialist college for young people who are no longer in mainstream education. Re-engaging young people into education and preparing them for their next steps, be this back in mainstream school, special provision or post 16.
This post provides the successful Construction Teacher with an opportunity deliver engaging lessons in City & Guilds Level 1 Construction, covering areas such as basic carpentry, brickwork, painting and decorating, and health & safety.
The successful Construction Teacher will plan and prepare lessons in line with City & Guilds Level 1 Construction syllabus. Providing support and advice to students with varied learning needs.
The successful Construction Teacher will have:
• QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification or vocational teaching experience
• Experience delivering City & Guilds Level 1 Constuction
• Strong behaviour management skills
