We have a very exciting opportunity to join our Residential Services team as the Accommodation Team Leader. You will be joining our award-winning team to manage student recruitment, sales and marketing in relation to the Universities accommodation. In the past decade, we have invested £250 million into our accommodation portfolio which comprises of 7 halls of residences with over 4,300 students living with us.
Your main duties will be to: -
• Line Manager to the Accommodation Office Team providing day to day support, handling escalated student queries, informal complaints, approving and covering absences, training of casual and permanent staff.
• Promote the University of Liverpool Accommodation to prospective students and parents, internal and external stakeholders. This will be face to face, through large scale presentations, Open Days, meetings and conferences. Regular weekend and some evening work will be required.
• Manage, allocate and charge key student and university groups who require accommodation including XJTLU, Summer Schools, Pre-Sessional and Summer Stays.
• Confidently maintain and resolve issues with key IT systems including a multifunctional database system, financial system and web design.
• Assist the Accommodation Manager to develop systems and procedures that deliver effective, efficient and high-quality services that enhance the student experience.
You will lead on the operational management of the Accommodation Team and delivery of accommodation services, delivered to students, staff and visitors to the highest possible standard. You will work closely with a variety of key stakeholders including UOL departments and PBSAs in relation to summer business and support marketing during Open Days and ADDs. Working closely with the Operations Manager and Student Experience Manager to have a whole student accommodation approach from application to move in and their respective teams to support students throughout their accommodation journey.
You will be adaptable and flexible in your approach to leadership and management having ample experience of student accommodation services, IT and student recruitment and marketing. You will demonstrate excellent skills to support the provision of a variety of accurate data including student application numbers and voids to manage intake, voids and summer school activities. Additionally, you will have excellent IT skills and be able to support the Accommodation Team to effectively manage student recruitment, moving in and room moves alongside informal complaints and liaising with the Halls Management Teams to resolve.
This role is offered on a hybrid working basis of 3 days per week on Campus.
