Opportunity

As a Lead Technical Architect, you’ll play a central role in shaping the future of the councils technology landscape. You’ll be responsible for leading the technical design and strategy for Digital Products. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll translate complex business needs into robust technical designs, collaborating with developers, business analysts and service design professionals to bring them to life.



Role Summary

Merging organisations provides the council with opportunities to re-assess service delivery and implement solutions that make efficiencies and improve customer experience. The council is also investing in a number of its core solutions such as CRM and Contact Centre as a Service using cloud services in order to support new services.



Your role will include:

Translating business problems into technical designs, aligning user needs with objectives
Leading technical design of solutions
Development of technology strategies that meet business needs
Technical governance of technology projects
Lead market research, procurement and delivery of innovative solutions from suppliers.
Provide advice and guidance on Cloud based platforms and their toolsets and features
You will be reporting to the Enterprise Architect within the Technology Service, the role is hybrid with expectation to attend offices in North Yorkshire when required including County Hall in Northallerton.



Experience / Qualifications

Experience

In depth understanding of the business and technical issues associated with the analysis, design, development and support of information systems.
Knowledge of software and systems development methods
Experience of cloud platforms and services
Confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels
