We are currently recruiting multiple General Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Leeds area. These are full-time roles (Monday to Friday) offering the chance to work closely with both teachers and pupils, providing essential classroom support.

The school is ideally looking for candidates with strong, saleable skills-whether that's prior experience in education, a good knowledge of Phonics, or the ability to build excellent relationships with children. While a Level 2 TA qualification is desirable, applications are welcome from those with relevant skills and a genuine passion for working in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers across the primary age range

  • Work with small groups or 1:1 with children who need additional help

  • Assist with phonics, literacy and numeracy interventions where required

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning activities

  • Help create an inclusive, nurturing and supportive learning environment

What We're Looking For:

  • Ability to work in the UK without any restriction

  • Ideally Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)

  • Strong communication skills and a caring, proactive attitude

  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting

  • Knowledge of Phonics or interventions is highly desirable

  • A genuine enthusiasm for education and helping young learners thrive

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
