Summary

Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Leasehold Coordinator to take ownership of key leasehold responsibilities. In this role, you will interpret residential leases and legal documents, clearly explaining their implications to leaseholders. You’ll coordinate rent reviews, calculate rent increases, handle related queries, manage service charge enquiries, monitor leaseholder compliance and support the enforcement of lease terms where necessary.

You will be joining the Place by Pinnacle team, which provides integrated market rental lettings and management services across both single-family and multi-family properties.

Candidates with knowledge of shared ownership schemes, service charge budgets, DIYSO properties and Section 20 consultations will be well suited to this role. Experience within a housing association or leasehold services environment alongside a strong understanding of the Rent Standard, Homes England guidance and leasehold legislation.

This role is a remote working role with occasional requirements to work from our head office in Holborn, London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret shared ownership leases to identify rent review mechanisms, responsibilities and obligations.
  • Calculate and process rent reviews (including the fair rent portfolio) accurately in line with lease terms, RPI/CPI and relevant legislation or guidance.
  • Monitor and update rent schedules, ensuring timely communication with leaseholders regarding rent changes.
  • Assist with the assessment and implementation of fair rents and affordability reviews in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, investigate, and monitor potential lease breaches, escalating issues where necessary and supporting enforcement actions.
  • Oversee and manage lease extensions with both the leaseholder and client, coordinating the process throughout.
  • Liaise with legal teams, surveyors, and housing officers to ensure lease compliance is maintained.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of rent reviews, breaches, correspondence, and outcomes.
  • Provide advice and support to internal teams and leaseholders on lease obligations, rent changes, and rights and responsibilities.

Key Requirements

Essential:

  • Strong experience in reading and interpreting residential leases and legal documents, confident in handling complex or sensitive leaseholder queries with the ability to explain these in simple terms to leaseholders.
  • Experience in coordinating rent reviews, calculating rent increases, and managing rent-related queries.
  • Strong understanding of service charge budgets and accounts.
  • Knowledge of shared ownership schemes and leasehold management practices.
  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using housing or property management systems and Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of DIYSO properties and fair rent principles.
  • Knowledge of Section 20 consultations.
  • Familiarity with legislation affecting shared ownership leases, including the Rent Standard, Homes England & the Capital Funding Guide.
  • Experience supporting enforcement of lease terms or managing lease breaches.
