Summary

Sandwell Council is looking for two caring and dedicated individuals to join our team as Care Assistants. This is your chance to empower individuals in our community to live independently, with dignity and purpose, while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

About the Role:

Fountain Court is a 16 bedded residential unit for people with dementia. The role includes providing person centred care, to meet the individual needs of the service users. To support the service users with their everyday living skills and participate in activities. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the needs of older people, with dementia, effective communication skills and be able to produce clear and accurate records.

Requirements:

Provide an excellent standard of care to all service users, so that they lead as fulfilling life a possible by fostering opportunities that place their right to privacy, dignity choice and independence at the forefront of their care. Enable service users to engage in and develop interests and maintain wellbeing and be part of the community.

An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

Working Hours

28 hours per week and 21hrs per week

You will be required to work a mixture of early, late shifts. (7.30am – 3.00pm and 2.30pm – 10.00pm) These will also include working weekends and bank holidays on a rota pattern.
