Summary
GB Recruitment are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) with a strong background in supporting learning in Upper Key Stage 2. The ideal candidates will have prior experience working as an HLTA and hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or higher.
The successful applicants will ideally:
* Have previous experience working as an HLTA, particularly with children in Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2;
* Demonstrate a secure understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and the high expectations for pupils at the end of the key stage;
* Have experience supporting the administration of assessments, including end-of-key-stage tests such as Year 6 SATs would be advantageous
* Be confident in delivering small-group interventions based on plans provided by the class teacher;
* Be able to support pupils in making accelerated progress by identifying next steps and providing appropriate challenges;
* Have excellent organisational skills and be well-prepared for all responsibilities;
* Use effective classroom and behaviour management strategies rooted in positive, respectful relationships;
* Be confident covering PPA and leadership time within the upper Key Stage 2 team, maintaining a high standard of teaching and learning.
* Be able to travel within the Stoke on Trent Staffordshire areas
