About the Role: Counselling TeacherActivate Learning is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Therapeutic Counselling Teacher to join our Higher Education team. In this pivotal role, you will deliver our Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, contributing to the growth and development of future counselling professionals.You will provide high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to adult learners working toward counselling qualifications that align with BACP ethical standards. Your support will help students build essential counselling skills, foster reflective practice, and prepare for professional placements and accreditation.This is a permanent, part-time role, offering 5.3 hours per week (0.14 FTE).What do you need to be a successful Counselling Teacher at Activate Learning?We're seeking individuals who can inspire and lead by example-professionals who not only teach but also model the personal and professional qualities essential for success in the counselling field.A recognised Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (minimum 420 guided learning hours)A degree or Master’s degree in Counselling or a related subject (Master’s preferred)Registered membership with BACP, UKCP, NCS, or a comparable professional bodyAt least 10 hours of personal therapy completedEvidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (minimum 30 hours per year)A minimum of 6 months' post-qualifying experience in supervised counselling practiceA recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training), or currently working towards oneAt least 1 year of teaching and assessment experience at Level 3 or higherDesirable:Experience with online or blended learning delivery methodsWho we are:We see our employees as individuals, empowering them to make the right choices for their ambitions and careers.
