Summary

The organisation

The Institute of Sports Humanities (ISH), founded in 2019, runs industry leading higher and executive education programmes.
ISH’s mission is to nurture and inspire sport’s current and future leaders – smart thinking leading to braver and more progressive leadership. ISH has educated leaders from across the sports industry – professionals working at elite sporting organisations and athletes.
ISH runs an innovative Leadership in Sport Masters, an interdisciplinary programme, in partnership with Loughborough University London.
ISH has also partnered with the University of Buckingham and Melbourne Business School and is now expanding in the UK and internationally with a number of new partnerships including a world-leading educational institute and a major international sports federation.

The Role

ISH is seeking a Programme Coordinator to work on ISH’s partnerships and portfolio of programmes. This role would be responsible for the implementation and delivery of all aspects across programmes.
The role is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced growing organisation, broaden your knowledge of the global sports industry, work with leading sports organisations and educational institutes.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day project management; including candidate enquiries, applications & admissions, client management, student communication and coordination, ensuring all objectives are met
• Oversee events schedule delivery across programmes – online and in-person (guest lists, partner venue management e.g. British Army/Twickenham/Lord’s Cricket Ground, event budgeting, scheduling)
• Client management: regular and proactive communication with key stakeholders
• Reports/presentations: creating and delivering internal and external documents and presentation to clients, prospects and colleagues
• Oversight of work, and occasional involvement with other major projects across the organisation, to support other staff
• Lead regular status meetings and manage ongoing action plans
• Coordination of alumni engagement and activity
• Management of ISH digital assets; websites, Virtual Learning Environment, social media
• Coordination of assessments, examination and moderation
• Marketing support as required
• Work with senior staff to develop opportunities to grow existing client business and support on new business opportunities

We are looking for

• Understanding of the global and UK sports industry landscape - passion for sports is desirable, but not essential
• Candidate should have an Undergraduate degree at minimum 2.1 or equivalent experiential learning e.g. work experience
• Energetic, self-starter with ability to work effectively under pressure
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team as required
• Project management knowledge, and budget control skills; ability to deliver simultaneous projects
• Ability to build excellent client relationships, generate ideas and solve problems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; confidence in presenting to client stakeholders of all levels
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and flawless delivery
• Strong understanding of social media is preferred but not essential
