About the role:
This post is funded by the Housing Support Grant, with an emphasis on upskilling to tackle digital exclusion. The post holder will develop and deliver digital training and support across Cultural Services, for the benefit of staff and service users. Training will focus on developing the digital skills of library, museum, and archive staff. The post holder will also work collaboratively with colleagues, community groups, and partner organisations to roll out training programmes and learning opportunities.
About you:
Recent experience of delivering digital literacy and skills development training
Experience of working within the Cultural Sector
Experience of creating and designing digital learning packages and programmes, including evaluation
Knowledge of promoting and supporting digital inclusion
Educated to A-level standard, or equivalent relevant experience
Driving licence with the ability to travel around the county
What you will do:
Develop and deliver training and guidance for Cultural Services staff, customers, partners and volunteers to ensure effective use of digital technologies and improve digital capabilities and confidence
Undertake training needs analyses to inform Cultural Services’ digital skills development plans and digital strategy workstreams
Proactively seek out grant funding opportunities to pursue further digital inclusion development, based on customer and staff needs
Work with Accessibility Powys and other partners, to develop and deliver training that targets and supports people in disadvantaged groups
Develop and deliver content for the service's social media, digital platforms and other promotional resources
Act as a champion for new technologies and digital inclusion
