Summary

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to hold a small complex case load working with those who may be experiencing homelessness, with substance misuse, alcohol and mental health difficulties as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Making positive changes in peoples’ lives, through a non-judgmental, recovery-based approach that values the strengths and choices of those individuals.

Through joining Via, you will receive a warm welcome, peer support, training, regular supervision and the chance to thrive in a lively and innovative service.

The main purpose of this role is to provide excellent quality of care to people who are experiencing homelessness as well as substance misuse and mental health difficulties and will be using our service to access treatment for substance use and their complex needs, in partnership with our clinical team, counsellors and other professionals involved in service user care.

You will have an in-depth knowledge and experience of the challenges affecting people with substance use and related health and wellbeing issues.

Working as part of a dynamic team you will be responsible for managing a caseload of people, to include prescribing, providing a good quality of interventions at varying stages of their recovery as well as developing and delivering a wide range of groups.

The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same.

The Service
Adult Drug and Alcohol Services across Gloucestershire transferred to Via on 1st April 2024. The role is partnership based (CHPSS Team) and provides a great opportunity to build on existing service strengths, drive new developments and make a positive impact as part of this new contract.

Location
This is a county wide role, but your base will be the Rikanel Centre and Via hub in Gloucester, with travel to other locations as required.

This is a permanent, part-time vacancy for 17.5 hours per week, working pattern negotiable.
