Summary

Job Description

Working both in the office and at home for the Fostering, Adoption and Permanence Team, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

The role is principally to provide Adoption Support work to families for Dundee City Council and will also encompass the other duties/responsibilities described for fostering and adoption.

Requirements

You will have a Social Work Degree, CQSW, Dip SW, CSS (with appropriate option).

Responsibilities

You will develop an appropriate range of Family Placement Resources to meet the needs of children and young people in care.

The Individual

You will have experience of child care work with a knowledge of fostering and adoption legislation. You will have an understanding of the issues for Care Experienced children and be able to work as part of a team, work in partnership with other disciplines and external providers, and communicate well in a group setting.

You will be able to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified timescale.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
