Summary

Fire Door Surveyor (Fixed-Term, July–December 2025)
Location: South of England – East & West Midlands, South-West, South-East & London
Base: Ideally located in the Home Counties (Beds, Northants, Berks) or along the M4 Corridor
Pay Rate: Up to £20 per hour (flexible depending on experience)
Contract Type: Temporary Fixed-Term (July to December 2025)
Hours: 40–50 hours per week | Daily travel with some overnight stays

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Fire Door Surveyor & Installer to join our team on a fixed-term basis. This is a key role responsible for surveying client accommodation for the installation of both standard entrance and fire doorsets, as well as supervising installation teams on-site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct accurate surveys of new build and refurbished accommodation for doorset installation.


  • Identify and rectify issues with poorly fitted doors.


  • Manage small installation teams across multiple client sites.


  • Ensure compliance with fire door installation regulations and best practices.


  • Liaise confidently with client site management teams.


  • Ensure a safe working environment in line with health and safety standards.


    ✅ Essential Skills & Experience:
    • Proven ability to survey and install doorsets (standard and fire-rated).


    • Knowledge of fire door compliance and certification (BM Trada or equivalent preferred).


    • Strong understanding of site safety protocols: asbestos awareness, manual handling, COSHH, and working at height.


    • Valid CSCS card.


    • Full UK driving licence – company vehicle provided.


    • Ability to work flexibly across multiple regions with occasional overnight stays.


    • Own basic tools and site equipment for surveying and installation.


      ⭐ Desirable:
      • SSSTS accreditation.


      • Fire Door Installer Certification (BM Trada or equivalent).
