Summary
The Business and Corporate Support Officer will carry out tasking led by the CSF Business Manager to ensure the cost-effective provision of Facilities and Business Services, Best Value for Money (BVFM) and meeting the customer’s expectations and requirements. To deliver all outputs, ensuring that all support is delivered efficiently in relation to running of the CSF Business.
Tasks that the successful candidate will be required to do include:-
1. Manage the Request For Change (RFC) process with Information Hub (N6)/Business Services Officer (BSO) coordinating any approvals to CSF Business Manager and escalations to the Change Advisory Board (CAB) as Secretary for the CAB.
2. Develop and manage building Head Quarters Temporary Memorandum’s ensuring that current and new processes are communicated to all CSF building occupants and lodger units.
3. Act as Deputy Unit Security Officer and DocSyO for the RNWFC.
4. Effective management of Hard & Soft FM contracts liaising with Navy INFRA and contractor to ensure that all building work/defect reporting is carried out according to contractual agreements, chasing and holding contractor to account. Ensure that all action from HQ Rounds, inspections and audits are addressed swiftly and efficiently.
5. Act as FIRE MARSHALL and FIRST AIDER within the HQ. Manage the fire evacuation process and raise fire evacuation reports for RNWFC.
o Liaise with Health and Safety representatives ensuring that the building is compliant with current regulations. Responsible for building H&S log/risk assessments and any actions from Building Safety Audits. Responsible for managing the RNWFC accident register and raising NSORs on MySafety as required. Attend the Portsmouth Naval Base (NBC(P) Stakeholder and HS&EP Committee Meetings (Monthly)
6. Manage the provision of equipment/furniture required by OH including conducting OH assessments.
7. To coordinate and issue (via MS Teams) and internal communications that may be relevant to the HQ Staff, RNWFC staff and elsewhere.
8. To oversee visits to the HQ and assist in the execution of VIP visits, conferences and receptions as directed by the command by working with the BSO. This includes oversight of the Room Booking System and Longcast activity for RNWFC Meetings and events.
9. Line Manager for the CSF Business Services Officer (AO) and oversight for the PSG Staff
10. To attend meetings relevant to the role.
11. To own, develop and maintain the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SharePoint page in accordance with Information Management policy and process.
12. Member of the Rear Operations Group (ROG) and requirement to carry out additional tasking within the ROG as required.
13. Work with the Business Management team to develop pan enterprise ways of working.
