This for a Locum 12-month full-time post within the Department of Paediatric Surgery at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. The successful candidate would be expected to offer a full-time commitment to elective paediatric surgery, together with a commitment to emergency surgery admissions on a 1:9 basis. The job will be paid at 11 PA’s per week.
The elective workload will include patients recruited through out-patient and in-patient referral. All Consultants see patients in regional outpatient clinics throughout the South West, as well as within Bristol Hospitals (BCH, Southmead, Weston and South Bristol). Regional clinics include Barnstaple, Exeter, Gloucester, Plymouth, Swindon, Taunton, Torbay, Truro and Yeovil, and the precise allocation of clinics will be determined following discussion with the other Consultant Paediatric Surgeons.
