Summary
Job description
We have an exciting vacancy for an experienced picture framer to join our team. This is an expression of interest as we are sourcing talented individuals who will be considered for a part time position initially and then potentially transfer into a permanent position. This position would suit a candidate with previous framing experience who is competent, reliable, organized, takes pride in their work and are able to work independently within a small team. This is a customer facing role.
Location: Wokingham, Berkshire
What you’ll be doing:
1) Propose solutions and take framing orders using company software
2) Order materials
3) Measure, cut, and assemble frames
4) Cutting foam board and other materials
5) Mount artwork using various techniques - Hinge / float-mounting
6) Maintain a clean and organized work area
7) Serve customers with artwork from the sales area
Machinery and tools you will use include:
1) Circular saw-cutting machine
2) Alfa Underpinner and Hoffman router
3) Flexipoint driver
4) Table saw
5) HGP 360 Hot Vacuum Press
6) Dust blower and dust extractor
Skills and Experience Requirements (PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE CONFIDENT YOU FULFIL THESE REQUIREMENTS):
1) Minimum 2 year previous experience as a picture framer
2) Authorized to work in the UK.
3) English Speaker (Fluent).
4) Excellent quality work and an eye for fine detail is essential
5) Ability to work independently to tight deadlines and across multiple projects simultaneously
6) Excellent advanced maths skills
7) Excellent Computer skills
8) Full UK driving license and car owner
9) Proficient in MS Office software, especially Excel.
10) Excellent communication skills
11) Well presented and takes pride in their work
