An exciting opportunity has arisenfor a registeredArtsTherapist/PsychotherapisttojoinCommunity rehabilitationenhanced support team (CREST). The service employsan innovative model to providerehabilitative care topeoplewith complex and severe mental health issues. As such, this isin line with our programme of Community Mental Health Transformation aiming to transform and enhance the way we deliver our mental health services.

The role offers teamworking, autonomy,varietyand significant development opportunities, both in leadership and clinical skills.
TheCRESTteamisthe first communitymental healthservice within Berkshire Healthcarewhere theArts Therapy intervention is pivotal in our service delivery.The postholderwillplay a pivotal role in delivering thisinnovativeservice usingtheir knowledge and skills,as well as planningandevaluating,andwill develop in post anexpertisein Rehabilitation for Complex Psychosis.
• The post holder will bethe sole Arts Therapist/Psychotherapistin ourCommunity Rehabilitation Enhanced Support Team (CREST). Asthis is arecently developedinitiativethis will initially involvesome input into thedevelopment of the service, includingfeeding intoprocesses and procedures,includingensuring the implementation ofevidence-basedArts Therapyassessment tools and interventions.
• On a day-to-day basis, theArtsTherapist will support patients through a needs-led, patient-centred approach to care. Each patient will have a bespoke care plan agreedat MDT,Close collaboration with the patients carecoordinator is essential.
• The rolewill include supporting patients with developing their skills andrelationships to enable them to live healthy, fulfilling lives. Examples of activities that might be undertaken could include home visitsor clinical space Arts Therapy interventions/sessions.
• TheArtsTherapist will ensure that the service provides high-quality, evidence-based care to its service users and willmaintainexpert knowledge of the latest clinical guidance on recovery to help inform the delivery of the service.
• TheArtsTherapist will alsobuild andmaintainrelationships with a network of stakeholdersincluding other BHFT services andbe responsible forhelping to overcomecommunication barriers in relation to the needs of individuals and groups to ensure a highstandard of care ismaintained.

• A registeredArtsTherapist with recognised degree-level qualification and HCPC registration.
• Experience of working with patients with complex rehabilitative needs.

• Experience of usingArtsTherapyevidence-based assessments
• Collaborative working with teams and services.
• Experience of working with people who experience Complex Psychosis, or evidence of the willingness and ability to quickly develop and apply skills in this area of practice
