Summary
Behaviour Specialist Salary: Grade S5-S6 £22,800- £25,500 Location: ALP Schools, Leicester, Birstall Contract type: Full Time, Term Time Only (40 weeks) ALP Leicester have been judged as Good by Ofsted and are keen to continue to develop on their journey to Outstanding. This is an exciting time as we are growing both in numbers of learners and in our positive reputation. ALP Schools provide continuity in learning for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. We are a provision for learners on the autistic spectrum or who have other special educational needs and challenging behaviour. We cater for young people in their primary, secondary and post 16 school years. The overarching purpose of our provision is to work with children so that they are able to overcome the barriers to learning that they have previously encountered. We aim to offer flexible, structured and supportive needs led approaches. We are looking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic, adaptable individual to join our pastoral team. The post holder will take a lead in the management of behaviour in the school. He/she will support and guide other tutors with Team Teach strategies, the writing of PHPs for students and the regular analysis of behaviour in school. Thus ensuring the school has the best behaviour systems in place to allow for a positive teaching and learning environment. Previous experience of working with children (6-19) preferably in an educational setting is required. The successful candidate will have excellent and efficient organisational skills, strong interpersonal skills combined with strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills. They will also have a calm and tactful approach, ability to work to tight deadlines and be emotionally resilient.
