Nursery Room Leader – Baby Room – Up to £30,000 – 40 Hours Over 4 Days

Our client, a warm and inclusive nursery setting, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to lead their baby room. What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working with babies in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Previous team leader, senior practitioner, or room leader experience (
  • Strong understanding of EYFS and early childhood development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A nurturing, calm, and confident approach to supporting infants and families.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
  • Current Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to complete training).

As the Baby Room Leader, you will:

  • Lead a team in delivering outstanding care and learning experiences tailored to babies aged 0–2 years.
  • Create and implement age-appropriate, sensory-rich activities to support early development.
  • Build secure and nurturing attachments with babies, supporting their emotional and physical well-being.
  • Ensure daily routines (feeding, nappy changes, sleep) are delivered with warmth and care.
  • Monitor and document each child’s development, sharing progress with parents and carers.
  • Champion safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene protocols across the room.
  • Motivate and mentor team members, ensuring high standards of practice and professionalism.
  • Foster strong, respectful partnerships with parents, encouraging communication and trust.
