An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Association of Colleges (AoC) as our Communications Manager. AoC is the national
voice for further education colleges in England, representing almost 95% of the sector and supporting over 2.2 million students

As Communications Manager, you will lead on our member communications and support the Head of Comms, Media, Marketing and Research
in implementing a broad and varied comms strategy. The Communications Manager will also lead on communications around our sector-
leading awards programme, as well as on our project work and initiatives. This is a varied and influential role, sitting within
the Communications, Media, Marketing and Research team, and working closely with colleagues across the organisation to support all
communications activity, while leading and developing a Marketing Assistant.



We’re looking for an experienced communications professional with proven experience in communications and marketing, including
developing and delivering communications plans and managing website content, ideally within a membership or education context.
You’ll have a flair for creating digital content for a range of platforms, including social media (both paid and organic), using
online tools and design software, alongside excellent communication and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate should
also have experience of using of data and analytics to monitor, evaluate, and enhance the performance of digital communications. A
communications/marketing qualification and a passion for the further education sector will be a strong advantage.
