Summary
Work with York Limited are working with a local authority client to recruit qualified and experienced tutors to join their thriving team of professional tutors to deliver arts, crafts, dressmaking and wellbeing courses.
This is a part time, temporary role, with the potential to be offered on a permanent basis. The hours are variable, and the taught courses could be held at various locations within and around York. The assignment is to start from September 2025 to the end of June/beginning of July 2026.
A competitive pay rate will be offered to the successful candidate.
Key duties;
Delivering Wellbeing courses to small groups of learners, with an emphasis on arts/crafts or dressmaking.
Working as part of a team to write and deliver appropriate lesson plans and schemes of work.
Monitoring learner progress, using appropriate methods such as individual learning pans, learner testimonies and photographs.
Liaising with other members of staff to deliver the best possible outcomes for learners.
Working flexibly and being adaptable in terms of delivery methods.
Qualification and Skills Required for the post
Experienced artist/maker/tutor who is used to delivering a range of creative opportunities to small groups of learners.
Experienced in delivering and achieving well-being outcomes for learners.
Well qualified in your chosen subject specialism.
Excellent communication skills.
Flexible, adaptable and a good team player.
